Questions & Answers
Q:Do you do indoor parties?
A: Yes, we bring a large floor covering and
hand sanitizer.
Q:Do you do outdoor parties?
A: Yes, outdoor parties in parks or back
yards are seasonal and weather-permitting.
Q:Do we need to reserve a parking/unloading
spot for the presenter?
A: Yes, please! It is very helpful
because driveways and streets are often packed when we arrive
and we must safely carry animals in during the winter.
Q:When will our presenter arrive?
A: Our presenters strive to arrive
approximately 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to
set up, traffic and weather permitting. If they are
delayed, the presenter will call to inform you.
Q: What should we do with our household pets
during the party?
A: Please secure your dogs and cats in
another area for the safety and well-being of our animals.
Q:How much space is required for a Wild
Things party?
A: A 10x12 room is usually sufficient for up
to 15 children. Most people opt for their family room or
basement common area.
Q:When should our party guests arrive?
A: We highly recommend your guests arrive at
least 15 minutes prior to start time to insure all the guests
are able to see all of the animals.
Q:How many children do you recommend inviting
to a Wild Things party?
A: We recommend 25 guests or less, which
maximizes the amount of time that the guests can interact with
the animals and limits the animals stress.
Q:Is Wild Things a licensed animal exhibitor?
A: Yes, we are licensed with both the state
of Utah and the USDA.
Q:Can we take flash photos and video during
the party?
A: Yes, you are more than welcome to.
Q:Should the children eat snacks or meals
during the presentation?
A:We strongly advise against this, as
touching animals and licking fingers is never a good
combination!
Q:What should we expect during the party?
A: Expect to be entertained and educated by
our enthusiastic and knowledgeable animal educators, have the
opportunity to touch and interact with the animal guests.
Q:Will the children hold the animals?
A: Although it may seem fun to hold the
animals, allowing children to hold could lead to animal escapes
or injuries. Our main focus is the safety of the children,
the safety of the animals, and the safety of the presenter.
The presenter will hold the animals while the children touch
them.
Q:Do you do anything special for the birthday
child?
A: Your birthday child will help choose the
order of the party animals, be first to touch the animals, and
may have the opportunity to assist the presenter as directed
during the program. In addition, the birthday child
receives a complimentary and educational science-themed gift.
