In this hands-on animal science program, we explore the fascinating world of animal communication (auditory, behavioral, chemical and tactile) and discuss how the scientific method was used in some famous research projects involving animal and human communication. Part of the science lesson focuses on ape sign language projects and what we have learned from them. During each 45 minute individual classroom presentation, the children participate in an interactive science lesson and are introduced to 5 different animals from around the world, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and insects. The minutes fly by as the children learn, ask questions, and touch the animals!
